Brad Belt is a retired college math teacher. He is happily married to his wife Carol and they live at Lake of Egypt just south of Marion, Illinois.
Brad was told by his mother when very young that he has a restless soul.
He admits that she was right. He has an innate passion for life and a high energy level. This is reflected in his daily activities and in his music. His catalog of over 200 original songs span multiple genres and look at life from many angles.
He finds inspiration in hanging with open minded people, observing interactions and listening to children talking to each other. He has often said, “You can learn a lot from kids!”
Brad is an accomplished musician, performer and songwriter. He was lead singer and guitarist in local bands for numerous years. Prior to his retirement from education in 2000, his interest switched from local bands to songwriting and studio work.
Brad’s goal is to write songs good enough to have a life beyond his own.
